Julia Tilton is a multimedia journalist. Her beat is energy and climate change, with a particular focus on emerging technology, AI, and data centers. Julia's byline has appeared in a host of outlets in the U.S. and Mexico, including The Boston Globe, Inside Climate News, Canary Media, Grist, The Oregonian, and The Yucatán Times. She currently reports on energy topics in rural communities for the Daily Yonder. She also contributes to the Maine Monitor's climate newsletter, the IEEE Spectrum, and the Latin America Correspondent podcast.Julia got her start in media at NASA, interning on the agency's Curious Universe podcast just outside of Washington, D.C. She has a dual major bachelor's degree in Earth & Environmental Sciences and Spanish from Vanderbilt University, where she was an Ingram Scholar for four years. Julia is committed to the responsible and ethical use of AI in her work.
